
Michael Llewelyn-Jones
Chairman
Michael Llewelyn-Jones is Chairman of the Board of Moneyport's UK headquarters and chairs the Board's oversight of the group's regulated activities.
He spent twenty-five years at Citibank's Corporate & Investment Bank, where he was Managing Director, Senior Credit Officer and Vice Chairman. Before Citibank he was Assistant General Manager, Banking at Générale de Banque in London, and at Manufacturers Hanover Trust he was Manager and head of the bank's business in the North of England and subsequently Scotland. He began his career as a management trainee at NatWest.
Since 2016 he has been a Lecturer and Visiting Professor at the London Institute of Banking & Finance. He served as Master of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers in 2015–16 and remains a member of its Court. His other mandates include UK Advisor to Move Capital and trusteeships of the LIBF DB Pension Fund, London Youth Choirs and St Michael's PCC.
He holds an MBA in Finance & Banking from Cass Business School, a Certificate in Corporate Finance from London Business School, a Diploma in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester and an MA in Higher Education from Oxford Brookes University, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He is a British citizen.
